Dan Kennedy of Strategic Coach in his book WhoNotHow says most people ask the wrong question. When you are faced with a challenge either business or your own life the common question is “How do I do this.” This is not the one to ask. You should ask “Who can do this for me.”
Most people who start in business try to do everything themselves, me included, and end up either getting very stressed and/or giving up. This has been such a weight off my shoulders as I am not the best at writing and I find myself staring at a blank screen.
Although I will keep writing as I believe it is a good habit for me to get into and hopefully it will improve as things go along I will also have other people write for me. Hopefully with the mix of both you will get to learn a lot, especially if you are new and can see the struggles I go through.
This then brings me to outsourcing in general and what you should outsource. If you try to do everything yourself you will soon find that procrastination sets in and you think “I will do this later”. but later never comes. To quote Dan Kennedy “Your procrastination is inner wisdom that tells you the goal is really great, but you’re not the one to do it”.
So what should you outsource?
Here is a small list of some of the things you can outsource
Where to outsource
Depending on the task you want one there are many places around the web you can get jobs done
- For graphics is recommend Steve at GFX-1
- Fiverr – Simple tasks
Each site offers various services and it is worth checking a few sites to find the right person. It is free to join the sites and post a job so you can then check where you will get the best job done. When posting a job always put a task they have to do, something simple like putting a random word in the reply so you know they have read the post.
To discover the other secret to running a successful business then I recommend check this out, you won’t regret it.
