Welcome to another update on my progress through Partnership to Success. We have reached the 3rd week already and it is time to start building a list.
The first list is to provide updates to this blog and you will see the optin form on the right hand side if you want to sign up. It is now where I have not quite followed the actual training. Although it will be different when you read this Johns training is for OptimizePress 2 and they are now on version 3. Johns training is getting updated towards the end of January 2020.
I have to say it was proving a bit of a nightmare to get the form to appear I have decided to get a different theme and now fortunately it is working fine. It is sometimes a case of trial and error to see what works.
The first job this week was to get an autoresponder. Fortunately I already has Aweber, which is the one the is recommended. Once joined the next job is to create a list, which when you are in Aweber is just a case of clicking “create a new list”, giving it a name and saving it.
If you are using OptimizePress you will then connect that to your Aweber account by going to integrations in OP3 and clicking the Aweber tab, so when someone fills their email in it goes to the list previously created.
Another job to do is to write some emails to go out when someone joins your list. This can be built up in time but having a welcome email to let them know what to expect is essential. As it is for updates you wont have to write a series of emails.
The only other thing to do this week is to ensure that the sidebar is set to the left which is done in appearance tab, As each theme has its own features it will vary where you click to do this.
If you follow Partnership to Success to the letter then John will obviously show you exactly where to go and how to do it.
I hope that these posts are proving useful and please feel free to comment below, either good or bad as all feedback is useful
